Join Hiking Club for a beautiful coastal hike to Jug Island Beach in Belcarra Regional Park.

This 5.5 km out-and-back trail features 227 m of elevation gain and winds through lush coastal forest with incredible views of Burrard Inlet along the way. The trail finishes at a peaceful beach overlooking Jug Island — the perfect place to relax before heading back.

Although the hike is considered moderate, the trail includes several rolling incline and decline sections, so come prepared with good footwear and water.

Half of us will meet at the Belcarra Picnic Area at 9:30 a.m. and begin hiking shortly after, so please let me know in the group chat if you’re coming so we don’t leave without you!

Parking is available near the trailhead, though it can fill up quickly on sunny weekends, so arriving early or carpooling is recommended.
